"Calorie is a unit used for energy"
Caloric balance is like a scale. To maintain healthy body weight, you need to ensure that ENERGY IN (calories consumed from food/beverage) = ENERGY OUT (calories burned/used by the body).
If you are eating less calories and more physically active (ENERGY IN < ENERGY OUT), you will lose weight. But, if you are eating more calories than your body is using (ENERGY IN > ENERGY OUT), you will gain weight.
And, below are few easy tips to save/maximize your energy in/out.
Save ENERGY IN (~50 - 100kcal)!
Drink plain water instead of
sweetened beverages
Choose 'Small' size set, instead of 'Regular/ Large' set
Eat fruit at snack time
Ask for "less sweet"/ "less oil"
Maximize ENERGY OUT
