Nestlé Singapore served up “Foods for Healthy Heroes” to celebrate International Chefs Day!

Nestlé Singapore teamed up once again with the Singapore Chefs Association, Nestlé Professional and SG Enable to commemorate International Chefs Day (20 Oct)!

As part of the Nestlé Healthy Kids Programme, children from 84 countries around the world took part in cooking workshops led by professional chefs during the month of October. The objective? To promote healthy meals amongst our young.

This year’s theme of Foods for Super Heroes is aimed at cultivating good eating habits through creative and fun recipes which directly engage and involve kids.

Under the expert guidance of Singapore chefs, 24 children from APSN Delta Senior School gathered at the SGEnable Kitchen and prepared healthy recipes using wholesome ingredients, or ‘Healthy Heroes’.

A study by Nestlé Research Centre found that involving children in preparing and cooking meals helps to foster good eating habits early on.

Nestlé Healthy Kids forms part of our ongoing commitment to promote children’s nutrition, health and wellbeing. The initiative combines all of our efforts to support parents and caregivers on their journey to raise healthier kids.

From leading research, product formulation, education, nutrition and lifestyle services to engaging partnerships – all these make-up our commitment to help 50 million children lead healthier lives by 2030.

Globally, Nestlé Professional and Worldchefs have been partners since 2014, working closely together to bring nutrition, health and wellness to children as well as chefs.
