In celebration of World Heart Day, Love Your Heart - Line Dance @ South East, organized by the South East Community Development Council (CDC), and sponsored by NESTLÉ NESVITA OMEGA PLUS ACTICOL, is a project which hopes to encourage healthy and active lifestyles to protect the heart and to support the cause of reducing cardiovascular disease incidences in Singapore.

More than 800 line dancers gathered at the National Library Board Building Open Plaza on 23 October, dancing to more than 80 songs for their heart and their community. The Guest-of-Honour, Grassroots Adviser Dr. Mohamad Maliki Bin Osman, Mayor of South East District, together with NESTLÉ NESVITA OMEGA PLUS ACTICOL celebrity ambassador, Xiang Yun, and Senior Brand Manager, Ms. Kimberly Oh joined the line dancers on the dance floor to cheer them on as they take active steps to increase heart health awareness and to better manage cholesterol level through their healthy lifestyles.

Explaining the motivation behind NESTLÉ’s partnership with People’s Association, Mr. Chow Phee Chat, Marketing Director - Beverages and Milk of Nestle Singapore said "Reports across many countries have shown that leading a healthy lifestyle and going for regular health checks can help save lives. And this can help identify in advance people who are at risk of preventable illnesses such as high cholesterol so that they can make the necessary lifestyle changes early."

The entire Love Your Heart - Line Dance @ South East campaign which started since mid-September involved line dancers accumulating the number of dances to benefit seven Homes and Community Outreach Programme for the Elderly (COPE) Centres which serves more than 2000 meals for the elderly and needy daily. The line dancers danced their best to raise NESTLÉ food products to be donated to the needy in the South East District.
