About Nestlé R&D Centre Singapore

R&D Centre in Singapore

Nestlé has a global R&D footprint of over 5,000 employees in 40 R&D Centres.

The Eastern Research Company (Eastreco) was Nestlé’s first R&D centre in Asia. It was opened in Singapore in 1984 and later changed its name to Nestlé R&D Center (Pte) Ltd.

R&D Singapore was opened in response to the fast economic growth in the region and chosen for its well-connected infrastructure, political and economic stability and multi-cultural society.

Our strategic location in the heart of Asia enables us to contribute to value creation through innovation and actively develop the talent pool in this region.

Today, R&D Singapore is responsible for global and regional product development for NESCAFÉ, MILO and MAGGI. Our multi-disciplinary competencies in consumer understanding and a science-based approach enable us to translate consumer needs into relevant products and services.

R&D Singapore employs over 140 people with more than 20 nationalities, from food scientists and engineers to packaging experts and technical specialists.
