In the spirit of sharing our joy, Nestlé brought our 100 Years Amazing Journey Exhibition to the public after the official launch at the National Museum of Singapore on 19 March 2012. The two public exhibitions were held at Marina Square atrium from 24 to 25 March and AMK Hub basement atrium from 6 to 8 April respectively.

Visitors to the Nestlé 100 Years Amazing Journey Exhibition had the opportunity to experience Singapore and Nestlé’s journey, discovering the story behind "Ang Zi Gu Ni (红字牛奶)", why MILO is also known as "Tak Kiu (踢球)" in Singapore’s coffee shops and what Nestlé did to help at the historical 1961 Bukit Ho Swee fire.

Presented in a simple and engaging manner, the Exhibition used multimedia, artifacts and photos dating from the 1930s to evoke the nostalgia in visitors. They also had the opportunity to journey together with Nestlé into the future and preview what possibly awaits us in years to come as Nestlé continues its journey with Singapore. The exhibition was divided into different eras to bring visitors through time with Nestlé products.

1930s Food Street

Visitors soaked in the nostalgia of a 1930s street stall and indulge in a delicious cup of NESCAFÉ White Coffee with an added twist of being "tarik-ed" by the Kopi Tarik man right before them. They could also dress up and pose like a street-side hawker back in yesteryears and bring home a free instant photograph.

1960s Provision Shop

In the 1960s zone, visitors get to try out traditional games like five-stones, cheptik, zero-point and slippery marbles to relive the good old days. They could also find out more about their personality through a session with "Ah Hock", the fortune-telling parrot, via our web application. Here, visitors get to enjoy a cold cup of MILO Easy Cool as they take part in the exciting activities.

2000s Studio Apartment

As visitors move along to our present day modern apartment, our hot piping MAGGI wholegrain instant noodles awaits them. They can also try a cup of hot or cold beverage from our latest innovation, the NESCAFÉ DOLCE GUSTO multi-beverage system.

As part of our ongoing community and youth engagement efforts, Nestlé also partnered Raffles Design Institute to create a commemorative art collection which centres around five iconic landmarks of Singapore as part of our 100 Years Amazing Journey exhibition. The five landmarks - Changi Airport Control Tower, Esplanade, Fullerton Hotel, Merlion and Marina Bay Sands - were chosen as they are key icons of Singapore during different phases in time, and these icons resonate strongly with Singaporeans, just like many of Nestlé’s brands.

Other than the special thematic zones and art collection, the 100 Years Amazing Journey exhibition also showcased key trends that will shape the world in decades to come. Visitors can also learn about Nestlé’s efforts in nutrition, health and wellness and latest innovations to keep up with the fast changing world and delight our consumers beyond their expectations.
