SINGAPORE FIRST IN THE NESTLÉ WORLD TO LAUNCH NEW BRAND YANG SHENG LE™ An innovative breakthrough with a traditional, nutritious and natural herbal soup.
Singapore, October 17, 2008
With the proliferation of consumer choices and increased concerns for their health, consumers these days look to food not just for taste and enjoyment but they also seek the added dimension of nutrition to help them manage their overall well-being as well.
|
Singapore consumers are living increasingly fast, busy and relatively unstructured lives. Social and physical mobility means consumers are accommodating a new flexibility into their daily routines.
Faced with many demands on their time and energy, consumers are increasingly open to the offer of short cuts, of ways to improve the efficiency of time and energy. Yet at the same time, they are also seeking more natural products and desire authentic traditional foods as well.
Understanding and recognizing these attitudes, beliefs and values of our consumers is key. The consumer insight that needed an answer was the question: “How do we combine taste, nutrition, convenience, naturalness and tradition in one product?”
Our answer to that is Yang Sheng Le™, a new range of concentrated herbal soups, a revolutionary innovation aimed at consumers who seek to enjoy the goodness of centuries-old Chinese traditional practice of maintaining health and well-being.
Yang Sheng Le™ is inspired from the centuries-old Chinese traditional practice of maintaining health and well-being the natural way. Yang Sheng Le™ aims to provide herbal goodness and nourishment with specific benefits into everyday food and fitting perfectly to the modern lifestyle of Singaporeans.
Said Mr Suresh Narayanan, Managing Director of Nestlé Singapore (Pte) Ltd, “Yang Sheng Le™ Concentrated Herbal soup is suitable for those who believe in the inclusion of the benefits of Chinese herbs in their diet for overall health maintenance and wellbeing. Yang Sheng Le™ is all natural and traditional nourishment that the whole family can now enjoy”
Mr Richard Eu from Eu Yan Sang added: “Improving the quality of life is a goal Nestlé and Eu Yan Sang both share. I see this partnership as the equivalent of the “Intel Chip Inside” which gives consumers the added confidence on the quality of the product. When consumers know that Eu Yan Sang herb extracts have been used in the manufacture of Yang Sheng Le™, they have the added assurance of its quality and goodness.”
From end October 2008, the full range of Yang Sheng Le™ variants will be available from selected supermarkets (please see attached list) and all Eu Yan Sang retail outlets. Yang Sheng Le™ Concentrated Herbal soup retails for S$6.00 – S$8.50 per jar (for 4 servings) and comes packed with a 3g sachet of wolfberries.
